It was fun watching the swans in Creamer’s Field basking in the sunshine last night. The snow melt creates many ponds for them to enjoy.

I’ve been working on this painting of a moose calf this week. Thinking about the miracle of new life.

Walking into a delightfully messy studio.
The large sheet of Arches watercolor paper is calling out to me. I am going to be working on that this morning. Excited to try out the images that are bouncing around in my head.
What’s new on the easel?
I’ve been painting large full size sheets of Arches watercolor 300# CP paper. Luxurious thick paper that holds color and brushstroke beautifully. Throwing paint, splattering, letting the pigment fly and blend. Summer pictures of cranes. Lots of sunshine.
